Josh Wilson - Savior Please

Josh's refreshing honesty in a time of sorrow is also what makes a moving track like "Savior Please" so accessible to listeners. "When I wrote this song, I had a really close friend who'd just been diagnosed with cancer. Another friend lost a job, and things in my life weren't going particularly well either," Josh remembers. "I'd been reading a lot in Psalms and was really resonating with all the times that David was basically saying 'I'm not okay, life is not good right now, God where are you? I need you to save and deliver me.' So with all of these things swirling around in my mind, I wrote a song that is a plea for Christ to carry me through. It's hard not to have all the answers - I wish I did, but I don't." Video Director - Kip Kubin, LP - Trying to Fit the Ocean in a Cup.

Great song/video. The really cool thing is that God loves to hear us call out to Him for help, because He loves to come to our rescue. Like Josh, I find comfort in the Psalms and David's struggles in life. If God can see through the struggles in David's life and still call him "a man after God's own heart," then there is hope for each of us seeking God in a time of need. Run to God and watch Him run to you.

I absolutely LOVE this song. In fact my mom and I were in the car listening to the radio and we both looked at each other and just said, "Wow." It's such a heartfelt song and the chorus I think is something everyone can relate to and something we all want to say. We try and try but in the end we fail cause we weren't meant to do it alone in the first place. Josh Wilson has truly blessed us with an incredible song and reminder that God is ready to carry us and He is more than happy to hold on to us and keep saving us time and time again. Praise God:)
